AUDITION

VIDEO SUBMISSION CALL

Accepting video submissions 12/30, 2024 – 1/20, 2025

Please include all components. 

• 1 minute: INTRODUCTION
Who are you? What is your movement background? Why do you want to join STREB EXTREME ACTION? 

• <1 minute: STRENGTH
10 Stomach pull-ins + 10 back pull-ins – continuous (see the video below for reference)

• <1 minute: CHOREOGRAPHY SAMPLE
Film yourself performing the first 30 seconds of STREB’s work ADD (see the video below for reference)

• 2-3 minutes: SHOW US YOU
Show us how you move, including any specialty skills, in whatever movement suites you best.

Provide link (Youtube or Vimeo) to your submission in the registration form. 

CALLBACKS

Callbacks will be held at STREB in Brooklyn, NY (51 N. 1st Street, Brooklyn, NY 11249);
Tuesday-Thursday, January 28-30, 2025 (attendance at all three days is required)

NOTE TO AUDITIONEES

Must be comfortable with physical heights, impact, falls, and extreme acrobatic activity.

Strong dance technique, tumbling, trampoline, and/or diving experience a plus.

STREB offers ~15 weeks of work with paid rehearsal, performance, and tour. Opportunity for additional weeks to be added to contract. Performers are given a body work stipend each contract, and annual pay increases are offered based on years of service. Rehearsal pay starts at $20, local performances start at $80, and tour days starts at $100. 

CONTRACT

• Selected dancers must commit to all rehearsals and performances; Contract begins immediately February 18, 2024.
• Part-time Position (Typical rehearsal schedule: 17 hours/week)
  • Typical rehearsal schedule:
    • Tuesdays, 10:30am-3:30pm; Wednesdays-Fridays, 11:15-3:30
    • Rehearsals $20/hr; Local Performances $80/show; Touring Performances $100/day
